Healthy nutrition is a subject that has been touched upon a zillion times by many experts; but it was Healthy Nutrition, Healthy Aging with a twist that we offered to the senior citizens and single parents in early November. We had celebrity chef Varsha Mathur speak to us not just about the theory of aging well with sensible nutrition, but she walked the talk by demonstrating some very simple, albeit nutritiously rich recipes that will keep gut issues at bay in addition to offering a multitude of benefits.
Also on the anvil for November is a session on Postural Awareness, much needed for the 60 to 90 age group of our participants, when a seemingly innocent hunch might lead to chronic upper back pain. Good postures translate into better functioning joints and muscles, thus improving the overall quality of life. We look forward to this meaningful learning.
Over 1,000 grocery packs were distributed to blue-collar workers in Al Quoz, thanks to the generous support of L’Oréal and the dedication of more than 100 volunteers. The distribution took place from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and was a meaningful way to begin Thanksgiving week by giving back to the community.
On December 21st, Rotaract, in collaboration with Smart Life, continued the spirit of giving by distributing Christmas gift packs. A total of 70 gift packs were shared with workers at the Gamamco Contracting LLC camp, while an additional 30 gift packs were given to Smart Idol participants at Al Naboodah Automobiles, Al Quoz.
These initiatives highlight our ongoing commitment to supporting the frontline community and spreading joy during the festive season.

We welcome volunteers and wellness experts to join us in continuing this meaningful mission.
Empowering Frontline Women Through Awareness and Creativity
SmartWoman recently conducted a meaningful awareness session for 35 female frontline workers at Transguard, Jebel Ali, focused on ending violence against women in all its forms.
The session was led by Ms. Rashmi Aggarwal, a UAE Labour Law Trainer and Certified Life Coach, who shared practical information on UAE legal protections, personal safety, and ways to seek help with confidence. The women actively participated, asked questions, and shared experiences in a supportive and respectful environment.
We sincerely thank Transguard for providing the platform to conduct this important session.
Art Therapy for Emotional Well-Being
On Sunday, 23rd November 2025, SmartWoman also organized an Art Therapy session at the Transguard Female Accommodation in Jebel Ali, focusing on emotional well-being and skill-building.

The sessions were successfully coordinated by Ms. Kaveri, SmartWoman Project Lead, who guided and supported the participants throughout.
Together, we continue to promote dignity, awareness, and well-being for every woman.
