SmartLife continues to turn purpose into action by creating opportunities that uplift and strengthen the frontline community. In this issue, we highlight the impact of our latest programmes across education, wellbeing, skill-building, sustainability, and digital access. Each milestone reflects the dedication of our volunteers, partners, and supporters.

IELTS Program, India

SmartLife launched the second batch of its IELTS preparation programme for students of Nehru College, Coimbatore, on 1 March 2026.

A total of 17 students have enrolled in the online programme, which is delivered in two groups by two dedicated teachers. Weekly classes are held every Sunday and focus on strengthening English-language proficiency and preparing students for the IELTS examination.

Ramadan Support Reaches Communities Across the UAE

This Ramadan, the generosity of 56 corporate partners and philanthropists enabled SmartLife to distribute more than 80,000 grocery packs, hygiene kits, and meals to low-income workers across Dubai and the wider UAE. The initiative also supported 100 deserving families in Sharjah and Ajman.

SmartLife volunteers worked alongside corporate partners to ensure the timely distribution of essential supplies, demonstrating exceptional commitment and compassion in reaching communities throughout the holy month.

Smart Academy

Smart Life successfully launched a new batch of Smart Academy 2026 in March, delivering a structured 12-week development program aimed at enhancing both communication and digital competencies.

The program features weekly Conversational English sessions held every Sunday, designed to improve participants' fluency, confidence, and effectiveness in workplace and everyday communication. These sessions provide a practical, interactive environment where learners can develop real-world language skills.

In parallel, Smart Computers weekly classes introduce essential digital literacy skills, enabling participants to confidently navigate technology for both professional and personal use. The curriculum covers fundamental computer knowledge, ensuring learners are better equipped to meet modern digital demands.

Through this integrated approach, Smart Academy 2026 empowers participants with the critical skills needed for personal growth, career advancement, and active participation in today's digital world.

SmartLiving Promotes Safety, Preparedness and Emotional Wellbeing

SmartLiving conducted a series of in-person and online awareness sessions for frontline workers at Ejadah Camp in Al Quoz, Al Ghurair Camp in Sonapur, and other workforce accommodations.

The sessions focused on emergency preparedness, understanding official safety alerts, appropriate actions during challenging situations, and the importance of remaining calm. Participants were also introduced to practical breathing and stress-management techniques to help reduce anxiety and respond confidently.

Approximately 150 participants attended the Al Ghurair Camp session, while additional sessions were delivered for male and female frontline workers at Ejadah and Al Ghurair camps.

SmartLiving also provided individual online counselling to a worker experiencing panic and anxiety, followed by arrangements for continued in-person support. These initiatives reflect SmartLife’s commitment to strengthening awareness, preparedness, and emotional resilience within the frontline community.
